Rev. Jim Dunson
Senior Pastor

Pastor Jim has a passion for teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ so that the church may live into the mission of loving God and loving others as we grow in discipleship.   After a 10 year career in Banking and Finance Jim responded to God’s call to church leadership.  Jim Graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2003 and has served two congregations, one in Texas and the other in Washington State, before being called to the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan.   Jim and his wife Cindy, who is a project engineer, have been married for 20 years and have three school age children, Morgan, Jackson, and Harrison.   The things that bring joy to Jim are spending time with his family, golfing, camping, and Seahawks football!  But Jim will tell you, and preach to you, that the greatest joy in life  is “relationship”.  A relationship first and foremost with God our Creator through Jesus Christ and also with other people that God brings us in contact with.  Jim is excited to serve in ministry with the community of Manasquan as we build on this relationship with God and others.
