Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  James 4:8

God is doing marvelous things at First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan and the Intercessory Prayer Group (IPG) is excited to see what He will do throughout the coming year.

Members of the IPG meet weekly to remember in prayer the prayer requests of the congregation, the spiritual growth of our church family, God's guidance for our pastors, church leaders, staff and Presbytery, and protection over members of the military.  We pray for God's direction of our government leaders, that they would be aware of the impact of their choices, and many other concerns—all in an atmosphere of confidentiality. Where appropriate, cards of encouragement are sent  to those cards to those in need, and we send notes to let them know that we are praying for them.

Prayer requests can be sent to the IPG directly via the blue fold-over prayer request cards in the pew racks and can be placed in the Prayer Bowl on the Praying Hands stand at the front of the Sanctuary or in the offering plates. Requests can also reach us on the multi-purpose response cards or by calling the church office or talking with a member of the IPG. When you submit a prayer request, be assured you are remembered in prayer whether or not your name is placed in the bulletin prayer list. We love to rejoice and praise God with you when prayers are answered. We all find ourselves being stretched spiritually as we depend on the Lord. Growth comes as we await His answers and see His love poured out on His people. It is beautiful to see.

A MESSAGE FROM THE INTERCESSORY PRAYER GROUP
We are praying for our church family as we near the construction phase of By Faith We Build.  We encourage everyone to join us in prayers for this metamorphosis period.  Every family is being remembered in prayer as the confusion, inconveniences, and upset of building impacts our church life on the way to a more practical and spacious end result.  We thank God for our planners who have been working hard to organize places and space for church activities during construction, and we thank Him for willing workers who help with all aspects of change during the building process.  Keeping our focus on God's plan for our church and the new, more efficient use that we will gain from the church buildings will help us accept the temporary inconveniences.  Our praise and thanks to God for many already answered prayers and for keeping us mindful that BY FAITH WE BUILD.
