Christian Life Learning Center
2010 Classes
As summer fades an back-to-school looms, the Christian Life learning Center is gearing up for a fantastic new season. Fall is a great time to begin a new study and worship habit! A variety of adult education classes will begin during each worship service time on Sunday, September 12, with offerings to suit every taste, touch every heart, stretch every mind, and nourish every soul.
- At 8:00 George Hooker will lead his class in a series discussing “Five Things God Uses to Grow Your Faith.”
- At 9:30 Cindy Davis and Cherie Matthews will continue the “Family Matters” class with a new topic for parents to consider.
- At 11:00 Rich O’Rourke will lead a study entitled “Prayer: Does It Make a Difference?”
- Rev. David Cotton will continue his study of Francis Chan’s book Crazy Love. This class has met during the summer, but all are welcome to enter at any time and be a part of this lively discussion and warm fellowship.
- Rev. Cotton’s Bible study will begin for this season on Thursday evening, September 16th, at 7PM. Note the change to THURSDAY evenings! This class will take you through the scriptures and provide you with insight and inspiration from the Word.
Adult education at First Presbyterian of Manasquan offers a unique opportunity to get to know other Christians and make good friends, to share your faith and life, and to grow in your relationship with the Lord. This year, come grow with us! Resolve to join a class and develop a more meaningful connection with Jesus and with the church family.
Week Night Classes
There is nothing more satisfying than a committed Women’s Bible study. This winter, join a dedicated group of ladies as they examine Peter; Learning to Be Like Jesus. The group meets every other Thursday in the Church Library for fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Grow closer to Jesus and to women in the church by joining this discussion twice each month. Meets the Second & Fourth Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Library.
We are beginning a new Alpha Express Class, led by Ellie Buanic, at 11:00 AM each Sunday in the Youth room. This study has generated rave reviews from many former participants and promises to reveal a new dimension of your relationship with God. To register for the Alpha course, please complete the Alpha registration form. For more information and dates & locations of classes, please email Ellie Buannic or contact the church office at (732) 223-4627. To learn more about Alpha, visit AlphaUSA.
