Time certainly does fly by! It’s already been seven months since the doors re-opened to our beautifully renovated Sanctuary! After nearly one year of worshipping in the Algonquin Theatre, we joyfully returned and have already celebrated our first Thanksgiving and first Christmas back at “home”.
As we now head into the New Year, it’s time to take a moment to reflect on the progress of our By Faith, We Build campaign with an overview of the path leading to its financial completion:
- The campaign got under way April 1, 2007, with a kick-off at Wall High School.
- Within a short time, we received commitments from 230 Giving Units in the amount of $2,090,316 to be paid over a 3-year period.
- As of January 17, 2010, we have received $1,565,890 paid towards the commitments, leaving a balance of $524,426 still to be paid.
- We received a line of credit from Manasquan Savings Bank to pay expenses during the construction period, on which we have an outstanding balance remaining of $520,000.
We have been blessed to have countless people contribute to the success of our By Faith, We Build project. But our work is not yet done. It is our goal to retire the outstanding loan balance of $520,000 so that the church will not need to secure a mortgage and place a burden on future operating budgets, and so that our By Faith, We Build project can be brought to a successful and lasting conclusion.
We encourage those who have not completely fulfilled their financial commitment to our building project to do so. Also, if you are a recent new member of our congregation and have not made a commitment and now wish to do so, please feel free to contact Jack Eisnaugle, Treasurer. Thank you for your response.
