Orphan Support, India Outreach Ministries
First Presbyterian of Manasquan has been financially supporting India Outreach Ministries (IOM) since 2007. Our monies have contributed to emergency relief, church building and in 2009 the Mission Commission approved to support three orphans (out of 27) for three years in The Evangelical Church of India (ECI) “Happy Home” orphanage in Salem. The cost is $240 per child/per year. All of these boys come from Hindu background. Their fathers are either deceased or are severely handicapped and cannot support their children. Below are photos of the boys.

Our church will now be supporting two more boys (cost of $240 per boy per year for three years) at the Happy Home Orphanage in Salem, Tamil Nagar, India. We will now be supporting five boys. These homes are run by the Evangelical Churches of India (ECI). Bob Nelson, President of India Outreach Ministries is hoping to visit the children in January 2010 and if so, will be able to give us a personal update
Bob Nelson, President IOM extends ‘thanks’ to our congregation for our continuous prayers for a great revival in India.
