Buy a Net, Save a Life

Did you know that by purchasing an insecticide-treated mosquito net, you can be a life saver for a mother and a child in Africa?

PW and our Mission Commission co-sponsored a Mother’s Day mission project earlier this year by the sale of Mother’s Day cards to support NETWORKERS, a ministry of the PCUSA, that provides mosquito nets and distributes malaria prevention education. Malaria is the leading cause of death among children under five in Africa, and those who survive Malaria may suffer life-long disabilities. While the sale of cards is past, you can still help by making a donation in any amount to help establish a malaria prevention program in Africa and allow a mother and her child to sleep safely under one of these specially treated mosquito nets. Please make checks payable to our church and mark “Mosquito Netting.”
