If you are interested in exploring membership in the church or you want to learn the basics of Christianity, you are invited to Seekers & Joiners. 

This Seekers and Joiners session will be held from 7 pm - 9 pm in the Church Library with Rev. David Cotton.  Please register online and for more information, please email the Church office or call (732) 223-4627.

Christian Life Learning Center
First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan is excited to announce the launch of a new adventure in Adult Christian Education: the Christian Life Learning Center. CLLC is an opportunity for adults to grow deeper in their faith, broader in their knowledge of scripture, and stronger in their application of Christian principles to real-life challenges. 

CLLC offers opportunities for every adult and every schedule- Long Term are weekly classes for those who desire the continuity and comfort of an ongoing learning experience such as the year-long Wednesday evening Bible study. Limited Term are 3-10 week classes for those whose schedules require a shorter commitment or for those who desire learning in a specific area of faith and practice. Special Events are one-time opportunities to hear guest speakers and to welcome visiting experts in various fields.

Alpha
The Alpha course explores the premise of Christianity. It’s for everyone, especially those wanting to find a more meaningful life, and wanting to investigate Christian principles. The congenial home setting where the Alpha Course is held is conducive to serious questions being addressed courteously and thoughtfully often by other searching participants.  A dedicated team facilitates the discussions.

This weekly Alpha course is one of 28,690 courses currently running all over the world since beginning in England 20 years ago. An Episcopal clergy from the Church of England, Nicky Gumbel, took over the responsibility for the curriculum in 1990 and it exploded around the world. There are Alpha Courses adapted for Catholics, students, youth and prisons, all based on the updated Alpha Course presented here at First Presbyterian.

There is no fee to take the Alpha course.  A typical Alpha course starts with refreshments at 7:00 p.m. followed by Nicky Gumbel’s key video talk. Afterwards, it’s a time of open discussion about the talk, and Alpha ends at 9:15 p.m.  We are pleased to offer regular Alpha courses to the community and the church for over eight years.
